#54: Paddington's Ice Cream and Jam Cake

"He (Paddington) was so hungry and thirsty he didn't know which to do first--eat or drink.

'I think I'll try doing both at the same time, if you don't mind,' he announced.

Without waiting for a reply, he climbed up onto the table and promptly stepped on a large cream and jam cake.

Mr. Brown stared out of the window, pretending he had tea with a bear in Paddington Station every day of his life.

'Henry!' cried Mrs. Brown, when she arrived with Judy. 'What are you doing to that poor bear? He's covered in jam and cream.'"

Sometimes it's easy to feel a bit like Paddington. I feel like there are all these projects I need to do and then I'm not sure which to do first. So then I try to juggle everything and end up with unsightly creme puffs in my hair and jam puddles everywhere (and in dire need of a bubble bath)!

I'm learning (slowly) that it's okay to do one thing at a time, to focus on a single white canvass and paint my best colours and creations. I bet you're very good at this one already, dear reader!
